Dr. Bassaganya-Riera gave an invited talk at Mount Sinai School of Medicine

On Oct 25, 2012, Dr. Josep Bassaganya-Riera was invited to give a talk at the Mount Sinai school of medicine. The NIMML Director presented the Center for Modeling Immunity to Enteric Pathogens research program, especially focusing on the computational and biological experiments and results

with models of CD4+ T cell differentiation, Helicobacter pylori, Clostridium difficile, and enteroaggregative Escherichia coli infections. The slides are available as pdf.

Dr. Bassaganya-Riera was invited by the Program for Research on Immune Modeling and Experimentation (PRIME). This program seeks to develop easy-to-use, predictive mathematical models to better understand patterns of infection among individuals affected by the H1N1 and 1918 influenza viruses and other related viruses.

About NIMML

The NIMML Institute is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit public charity foundation focused on a transdisciplinary, team-science approach to precision medicine at the interface of immunology, inflammation, and metabolism. The NIMML Institute team has led numerous large-scale transdisciplinary projects and is dedicated to solving important societal problems by combining the expertise of immunologists, computational biologists, toxicologists, modelers, translational researchers, and molecular biologists. The Institute is headquartered in Blacksburg, VA. For more information, please visit www.nimml.org or contact [email protected].
